How modified is your TT ? Do you have cats? Everywhere I read about full 3" systems and 3" to 2.5" systems the guys say they are quite a bit louder than stock ( trade off between free flowing and noise). The megan racing mufflers must have a lot of noise absorbing material in their cans. I had a 3" to 2.5" cat back system that droned terrible (no cats, no resonators, with MSP manis). I ended up installing high flow cats and vibrant resonators and I still have some drone. You may have stumbled upon the secret formula for no drone without resorting to complicated solutions like Helmholtz resonators. Please share your engine/manifolds/cats/hpipe set up.
